Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, reportedly had a wonderful 100th birthday yesterday, despite being dead for several years.
“Look at this, what a lovely celebration,” said Ron Carter, son of Jimmy’s, about the party happening on the back deck of the Carter’s home. “I think Jimmy would really enjoy this if he weren’t just propped up in the corner over there like some kind of mannequin. Some have said it’s inhumane to trot him out in this condition, but I haven’t heard him object!”
Friends and families of Carter’s were overjoyed to share his special day with him.
“Wow, 100, who would’ve thought,” asked one longtime friend of Carter’s. “I figured when he passed away silently a few years ago that they would stop keeping track of his age like they do with most people, but for some reason, we keep celebrating Jimmy Carter’s birthdays. It’s weird. Just bury the guy already!”
As of press time, the party was standing around patiently waiting for Carter to blow out the candles on his birthday cake.
Let the dead rest.

Everyone has scurried to Georgia to show support for the people impacted by Helene. But not one mention of visiting Plains to with Jimmah Carter a Happy 100th Birthday. OK, they may have had to leave a message with his caregivers or Grandson, but it would have been a nice gesture.
I met Mr. & Mrs. Carter on a Habitat For Humanity build decades ago. He even came and sat with my crew for lunch. He came walking up with this old black lunchpail as asked if he could join us, For many years after that I received a Christmas card from the Carters. When the build was over he came around with a yellow legal pad and asked everyone to provide their name & address. He and his wife were very kind and sweet people. I think the DNC put him in a position he wasn’t comfortable in.
