In a striking display of hospitality mixed with strict immigration enforcement, New York City Mayor Eric Adams has literally rolled out the red carpet at Rikers Island for Border Czar Tom Homan, who arrived to personally escort illegal immigrants out of the facility, sources have confirmed.
This elaborate scene is part of the city’s new “Dignitary Detainment Program,” aimed at adding a touch of ceremony to the deportation process.
Adams, known for his flair for the dramatic, greeted Homan at the prison gates with a brass band and guards dressed as butlers. “We want to ensure that even deportations are done with dignity and a bit of New York glamour,” Adams stated, as he and Homan led a procession of undocumented immigrants down a plush red carpet through the main corridor of the jail.
The mayor touted the event as a humane approach to a tough situation, while critics slammed it as a bizarre spectacle that trivializes the seriousness of immigration enforcement and the conditions at Rikers.
Supporters, however, applauded the mayor’s creativity in “rebranding” Rikers and drawing attention to the city’s unique approach to law enforcement.
As of press time, other cities were reportedly considering similar theatrical deportations, pondering whether Broadway directors might be available to choreograph their own.
Welcome to the 🎪 😆 🤣
Are you kidding me, how stupid can you get … apparently, Adams is criticizing Homan’s and Trump’s decision of arresting these immigrants. And, the immigrants are even able to drive around New York with a drivers license and they can’t speak or read English, how is this happening?
Adams is a 2025 Pimp. I’m a Born & Raised NYC resident who supported Trump from 2015. I don’t care how much Trump uses him, he’s gotta go where DiBlowsio went…. Gone!!!! I have a home investment in Manhattan and I want its value to return to its original price before I go. Democrats have singlehandedly destroyed NYC in every single way.
