Dem Cities: Voter ID Is Oppressive Unless You Need It To Enter A Neighborhood

BALTIMORE — Officials in Baltimore, Maryland, reportedly updated rules in the Fells Point neighborhood requiring visitors to show physical ID to enter the area, stunning residents who had been told for years that asking people to prove who they are was basically the collapse of democracy, sources have confirmed.

Fells Point, a historic waterfront district in Baltimore known for nightlife, cobblestone streets, and suddenly constitutional reinterpretations, became the first officially “ID-controlled neighborhood” in the city, prompting immediate confusion among voters, activists, and several local Democrats who had spent the last decade explaining that ID requirements are dangerous, suppressive, unconstitutional, and impossible to comply with—unless the ID is needed to walk past a bar in a city they control.

“This is completely different,” said one Baltimore city official while checking a driver’s license under a streetlight in Fells Point.

“Voter ID prevents fraud, which we say doesn’t exist. Neighborhood ID prevents chaos, which unfortunately keeps showing up on camera in Baltimore.”

Republicans were reportedly laughing so hard across Maryland that residents mistook the sound for summer thunder rolling over the Chesapeake Bay.

But the story did not stop in Baltimore.

Within days, Democratic-run cities across the country allegedly began “studying the Fells Point model,” with reports that San Francisco, Chicago, New York City, Seattle, and Portland were all “exploring neighborhood-based identification frameworks” to ensure residents could safely enter areas they already live in, work in, and pay taxes in.

In San Francisco, officials reportedly considered requiring QR codes to enter certain blocks “for equity reasons.”

In Chicago, proposals emerged for “community access checkpoints” near popular districts.

In New York City, one council member allegedly suggested “ID verification zones” in Brooklyn “to preserve neighborhood integrity,” prompting immediate questions about whether voters would also need integrity zones.

Democrats insisted there was no contradiction anywhere in any of it, explaining that asking for ID before voting is an attack on civil rights, while asking for ID before entering Fells Point in Baltimore—or any soon-to-be-adopted copycat district in other Democratic cities—is a community safety partnership with laminated hypocrisy and municipal approval.

One confused Baltimore resident asked whether his ID could be trusted at the Fells Point gate but not at the ballot box.

Officials immediately escorted him to a designated common-sense-free zone located somewhere between a parking meter and a craft cocktail bar.

As of press time, Baltimore had clarified that identification is oppressive only when it protects elections, but empowering when it protects Democrats from the consequences of policies that are now being exported, replicated, and “workshopped” in every major city they run.

As a resident of Baltimore, I follow what has happened in Fells Point. Residents are curtailed by teen bull shit, business is curtailed by teen bull shit, Police are busied by teen bull shit. Proof of age at least settles whether you should be gone, at a certain time, or have an alcoholic beverage in your hand.

You completely miss the point and the hypocrisy. It’s too hard for minorities to show ID to vote, but it’s not to enter this neighborhood. That sounds….. RACIST!
