LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles politics reportedly reached its final evolutionary stage this week after Mayor Karen Bass unveiled another ad focused on fighting Trump while challenger Nithya Raman responded by eating tacos, petting a dog, and accidentally triggering a campaign emergency usually reserved for indictments, earthquakes, or a candidate discovering TikTok, sources have confirmed.

Bass’s headquarters immediately went to DEFCON QUESADILLA.

“She has a dog?”

“Yes.”

“And tacos?”

“Yes.”

“Is the dog bipartisan?”

“We don’t know.”

“Find out.”

Within minutes, consultants had formed a Canine Counter-Messaging Task Force, ordered 4,000 emergency burritos, and begun focus-testing whether voters preferred Labradors, corgis, or “something with union support.”

One strategist proposed mentioning Trump again.
