WASHINGTON — Democratic lawmakers expressed alarm this week after ICE agents were deployed to airports and began assisting travelers, with one calling the move “a horrible, horrible idea” and another insisting there was “absolutely no reason” for it, sources have confirmed.
The outrage followed reports that agents were handing out water, directing passengers, and helping overwhelmed TSA staff — actions officials described as “unexpected and deeply confusing.”
“We were told this would create problems,” one lawmaker said. “Instead people are… thanking them.
That’s not how this is supposed to work.”
Sources say the response triggered immediate concern among party strategists, who scrambled to explain why visible assistance during a chaotic travel situation was still, somehow, unacceptable.
“At one point someone suggested this might actually be helpful,” one aide admitted.
“We had to remind them we don’t evaluate things based on results.”
Meanwhile, travelers stuck in long lines praised the extra help, noting shorter wait times and calmer conditions — developments one official dismissed as “anecdotal and highly inconvenient.”

Congress is a useless bunch of bums.The Dems in the Senate finally caved to end this TSA mess, then the jackass GOP House rejects it, and after that they all go on a 2 week recess, most likely avoiding the airport lines as one of their perks. All 535 of them need to be voted out!
I have been racking my brain to figure out one other profession, trade or job I have seen in my entire life where you can be consistently derelict, incompetent, ineffective, subversive, uncommitted, deceitful, or dishonest in the execution of your duties and you are rewarded for it with a two week vacation ! I can’t for the life of me think of a single one, or a single person I have ever meant who has told me about one ! As far as I can tell, these 535 workers are the only such workers to have this benefit out off the hundreds of hard working people we have in the American labor force ! If there are any others, I am sure they are in similar Government jobs in States and locals…

The house had already passed the budget. What they voted down was the Senates attempt to remove ICE from the budget approval process.
