An Indiana DoorDash driver is facing felony charges after allegedly pepper spraying a customer’s food, an act she later justified as a long-overdue correction to what she described as “a deeply unfair food system,” sources have confirmed.
According to investigators, the driver explained she finally snapped after years of receiving incorrect fast-food orders, cold fries, missing sauces, and what she called “emotional neglect from the service industry.”
She reportedly told officers, “McDonald’s has NEVER gotten my order right, but these people get theirs perfect? How is that fair,’” one source familiar with the interview said.
“If I can’t enjoy my food, nobody should.”
Authorities say the driver described the incident as “balancing the scales,” insisting the customers’ meal was simply made “a little spicy” in the name of equality.
Friends of the suspect claimed she viewed the act as progressive problem-solving, adding that hardship should be shared collectively, especially when someone else appears happy.
When confronted with doorbell footage, the driver allegedly doubled down, arguing that pepper spray was not violence but “unregulated seasoning.”
DoorDash briefly reviewed the incident before revoking her access, confirming that chemical agents are not part of the approved menu, even under “equity-based circumstances.”
As of press time, the suspect was reportedly reconsidering her definition of fairness while awaiting extradition, though sources say she still believes the couple had it coming
