ANNAPOLIS, MD — Maryland Gov. Wes “Spend” Moore unveiled his bold new crime-fighting strategy this week by signing bills that crack down on legal gun sales while making sure certain teenage offenders get a gentler trip through the justice system, sources have confirmed.
“Marylanders asked for safer streets,” Moore declared while standing beside a giant chart labeled Do The Opposite.
“So naturally, we went after the people buying guns legally and made sure more young suspects begin in juvenile court. That’s leadership.”
The first law bans the sale, manufacture, and transfer of certain handguns that officials say can be converted with illegal devices, devastating criminals across Baltimore who were reportedly heartbroken to learn their already-illegal machine-gun switches are now double-secret illegal.
The second reform eliminates automatic adult charging for some 16- and 17-year-olds accused of serious offenses, giving Maryland what experts call “a more compassionate revolving door.”
Critics accused Moore of ignoring voters concerned about crime, taxes, utilities, and affordability.
Moore’s office denied the claim, explaining the governor listens carefully to Marylanders before doing whatever progressive consultants wanted anyway.
As of press time, Annapolis officials were preparing Moore’s next public safety bill, which would require criminals to pinky promise they won’t convert anything illegal until after their court date.
They don’t really care about guns; they just use it as a method to get votes. If they were really concerned, they would be outlawing cars as 45,000 Americans die in accidents, more than die by guns. The number of people killed by “assault weapons” is 600-700 per year wear as knives and axes kill 1500 per year. The number of people who drown is over 4,000 per year. There will be 2,850,000 Americans who die in 2026. Guns are really responsible for a minute number of American deaths in any year and considering that over 160,000,000 Americans who legally own over 450,000,000 guns, we are a one of the most peaceful societies in the world.
Sounds about right for the democrats. Unarm the lawful citizens. Arm the criminals. Criminals don’t care about gun laws. Or any law for that matter. That’s why they are criminals.
