Los Angeles officials celebrated the successful rollout of the LA28 Olympic presale this week after residents were given the long-promised opportunity to purchase tickets they immediately realized they could not afford, sources have confirmed
After months of messaging from Mayor Karen Bass and state officials promising a “Games for All,” locals logged into the presale lottery only to discover that “all” now refers primarily to hedge fund managers, international dignitaries, and anyone who casually describes $4,900 as “not bad for decent seats.”
“This is exactly what we were promised,” one resident said while staring at a $1,100 swimming ticket.
“They never said which people the Games were for.”
Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom, widely described as two peas in a pod when it comes to empty promises and creative definitions, have defended the pricing structure as “inclusive,” noting that nearly everyone is technically allowed to look at the ticket prices before closing the tab.
Sources say the pair quietly purchased all available $28 tickets early, then redistributed them to wealthy donors, studio friends, and out-of-state family members under the city’s new “Games For Y’all” initiative.
City officials also reassured residents that lower-priced tickets were available, provided they were interested in preliminary events, partial views, or watching athletes warm up from several zip codes away.
Meanwhile, organizers confirmed that the “$28 tickets” do exist, though they are reportedly limited to a commemorative screenshot of the checkout page.
As of press time, Los Angeles leaders were encouraging residents to embrace the Olympic spirit by gathering around televisions and calling it “community participation.”

You couldn’t pay me to put myself through getting to one of those events or attending anything that resembled a hotel California song. How about taking some of that money from the tickets and fix up all the massive broken roads out there. Hey, instead of spending that much on a ticket, go on a really nice vacation somewhere else?!
The old adage says:”The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” How many times do people who vote for Democrats,(especially in CA, NY, and IL,)need to get screwed over by lying and hypocritical Democrat politicians, before they wise up?
Don’t forget the New England states……….each is a progressive mess yet the silliness continues without pause as the same party gets reelected and the common voter gets the shaft.
They clearly enjoy being made laughingstocks by states whose citizens can actually go to events because tix are within a price that’s affordable.. maybe a little pricey but doable with planning ahead a bit
