In a stunning throwback to the 18th century, Colorado lawmakers are reportedly ready to pass groundbreaking legislation that would limit firearm purchases within the state exclusively to muskets, sources have confirmed.

This bold move aims to bring “authenticity” back to the Second Amendment, according to one Denver legislator who probably wears tricorn hats on weekends.

Dubbed the “Right to Bear Archaic Arms Act,” the bill has drawn both applause and ire. Supporters argue that it ensures gun owners really mean it when they reload, while detractors are scrambling to find black powder and flint. “It’s about heritage, not hate,” commented one enthusiastic reenactor-turned-activist, who was seen practicing his minute-man march outside the state capitol.

Local musket manufacturers are thrilled, anticipating a boom in business. “We’ve been waiting for this revival,” exclaimed the owner of Rocky Mountain Muskets. “Finally, a gun control law that supports historical reenactors!”

As of press time, a group of confused Colorado hunters were reportedly seen trying to fit a GPS tracker to a carrier pigeon, having misinterpreted the law as a total return to colonial technologies.

If the law really specified “musket” – raw gunpowder based manual load – it is the best thing that could happen to A terrorist. With passage bulk purchase of gunpowder would be possible. That means explosives would be on sale as a constitutional right of gun ownership.
If the law specified it means a single shot firearm, that would be different and more rational. It would meld mixer guns with the concept of an armed citizen available for a militia.
But this is 2025 and legislatures are known to be irrational and pass laws harmful to the nation.

Yeah, but the criminals will still have guns, but because of the law that means the cops can’t carry them either if they do then they’re breaking the law citizens arrest
