A confused and elderly man apparently wandered onto the set of The View earlier this week and began rambling about how he could have won this November’s presidential election if given the chance, shocked eyewitnesses have confirmed.
“There were some folks who would like to see me step aside so they have a chance to move on. I get that,” said the incoherently babbling man during his unannounced appearance on the long-running talk show. “That’s just human nature. But that wasn’t the reason that I stepped down. I stepped down because I started thinking about it. You know, it’s hard to think of — I know you’re only 30 — but it’s hard to think of, it’s hard for me to even say how old I am. … It’s like, ‘Holy God, that can’t be right.’”
Audience members were horrified by the tense situation.
“I’m not sure who that old geezer was or what he was talking about,” said onlooker Joyce Larner. “But he was rambling on about how he was still fit to do a good job while also admitting he was too old to do a good job if I’m understanding correctly? He wasn’t making the strongest argument, and the whole segment was pretty weird to be honest. God, how does this show keep getting worse?”
As of press time, the confused, senile guest was lured away from the stage with an ice cream cone.
