Servers, bartenders, and chefs are racking up overtime hours at eateries like Applebee’s and Olive Garden, where tips are now tax-free, and extra shifts mean more untaxed cash.
“I’m working 60 hours and keeping every penny!” boasted a Texas Roadhouse waiter, who earned $1,200 in tips last week, per interviews.

Why anyone would object to a waitress or any other low wage earner receiving a generous tip is beyond me. Tipping is a gesture for great service and a good attitude toward the customer But greed entered in and they made them put their tips together When the lazy and hateful useless never come back person received part of what they did not earn. It also allowed places to not pay a minimum wage. Expecting customers to make up for them having employees But the tips tax is not just for waitresses Or low income earners . This tax deduction can be done in more ways than listed. Which will benefit when large payments can be called tips. The way they write up things Makes a difference .
