New York City housing officials found themselves in an awkward press conference this week after several immigrant landlords responded to claims that homeownership represents something evil by slowly looking around the room and confirming they were, in fact, not white, sources have confirmed
The confusion began after a post made by a Mamdani housing aide resurfaced suggesting owning property reflects systemic wrongdoing, prompting members of SPONY — Small Property Owners of New York — to gather outside City Hall holding mortgage statements, family photos, and the kind of expressions usually seen when someone is told success is now suspicious.
SPONY member Mr. Lee, a third-generation property owner, explained:
“My grandfather came here from a communist country with nothing, worked every day of his life, bought one small building, and now you’re saying that’s evil. Where I come from, the government taking your property was the evil part.”
Another landlord added, “You’re telling immigrants the American Dream is bad”
He also pointed out the people saying this were born here, live here, own homes here, and are yelling at us from inside houses they also own.”
Reporters noted several housing activists became visibly uncomfortable when asked if they personally owned property, with one replying, “Yes, but I disagree with it on principle.”
City officials clarified the position is not against success, only success that looks a little too successful.
As of press time, activists were reportedly working on new guidelines explaining that the American Dream is acceptable, as long as nobody actually achieves it.
Some people want to take advantage of other people who don’t want to think and are totally uninformed, but just for the purpose of gaining power over them eventually.
Simple solution to NYC property owners’ problem. Let them sell their property to foreigners and move out of state; like to Texas or Florida. Take their millions in property taxes elsewhere. Then NYC will become the 3rd world city it deserves.

Homeownership is the basis of the American dream. Mamdani wants to destroy that, and he must be stopped. The morons that elected him I guess don’t own homes? Not sure where their minds are….homeownership is the basis of this country, you HAVE TO LIVE SOMEWHERE, and it’s the fastest way to becoming financially stable. The ones that voted for him don’t own homes and don’t pay taxes. They live in subsidized apartments, on a subsidized income, so Mamdingdong’s Komments and policies don’t affect them the same as they do the producers of their existences…
