Bill Maher stunned his audience this week by committing the ultimate leftist heresy: pointing out that America is already drowning in socialism, taxes the rich into oblivion, and is somehow still failing the poor anyway, sources have confirmed.
“I’m personally getting taxed at like 60% when you add it all up,” Maher confessed, looking like a man who just realized he’s been funding his own mugging for decades.
He then begged Bernie Sanders to stop pretending the rich don’t pay taxes, listing off the greatest hits of American socialism:
Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare, food stamps, housing subsidies, disability, unemployment, and enough bureaucracies to make the Soviet Union blush.
But Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, refusing to let pesky things like “results” get in the way, immediately demanded we go even further: tax the rich at 95%, give everyone free everything, and create seventeen new departments to oversee the seventeen previous departments that already failed.
Their ironclad logic?
“Sure it hasn’t worked the last 60 years, but this time we’ll hire better bureaucrats!”
Democrats insist the only reason socialism keeps failing is because we simply haven’t tried enough of it.
One activist suggested solving poverty by taxing citizens at 110% and letting the government run literally everything, including your toaster and emotional support hamster.
As of press time, progressives were excitedly designing their new flagship program: “Universal Free Failure,” guaranteed to deliver the same results as every previous attempt, just with worse service and much higher prices.

It’s not fun anymore when you find out that you are “the rich.” No sympathy to give.
Beware…We have raised generations of “participation trophy” adolescents who are responding to this “everything free” mantra. Throw in the immigrants from Socialist countries and it explains why people like Mandami, Sanders and Warren get elected. America 20 years from now is going to be far different from America today, once these “everything free” voters are the majority.
When I was sixteen I told my dad I wanted a car. He told me that I needed a time card. The WW2 generation didn’t believe in free everything…they thought things must be earned.
Some of us still do
First off, math is math, 100% of something is all of something. You can’t have 10% more. That’s 10% of nothing. Second, in the early 1900’s families like the Rockefeller’s paid up to 90% taxes and they were still incredibly wealthy. Social Security is funded by anyone that has ever held a job since it’s inception. Until a stop was put to it the government raided those funds to pay for their shortfalls and never has one cent been repaid. Social Security is not a welfare program, it is a retirement fund!
Donna Social Security has become an entitlement. I suggest you you to the gubbermint Social Security website on this topic. Low income folks draw out more than they pay in. Fact.
Socialism always fails. The money just transfers from the wealthy to the new wealthy in government. Capitalism is the only system to ever create a thriving middle class. Politicians are thieves or power hungry animals who serve themselves. Thinking they will ever create utopia is utter foolishness.
This is horrendous — we no longer have any wealthy people in the U.S. anymore. Massive taxes are why there are no mega-millionaires or billionaires in the U.S. — they’ve all moved to Qatar, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. Who’s going to buy billion dollar yachts and build half billion dollar mansions now? We are now a “shit-hole” country!!
The intent of the leftist globalists is to tear down this country before they can rebuild it in the form that the WEF has blatantly stated in Agenda 21 and likewise Agenda 30…”They” are doing it from every possible angle, exploiting our “freedoms” and using them against us….The USA will soon become the last bastion of a country run by a free middle-class, and unless the Donald can turn it around, that aforementioned demise is just around the corner…
Socialists have a warped view of how our economy works. It is basically immoral to dictate; “From those according to their abilities – To those according to their needs.” That’s it in a nut shell! Sounds very humane. So – If one has abilities, talent and skills they are expected to work as hard as possible for the benefits of those of lesser abilities, talent and skills, giving to them what they can’t (or won’t) earn for themselves. Unfortunately the immoral and unscrupulous always seem to be there with their hands out to claim their needs are the most urgent. Besides the fact that individual initiative is discouraged under Socialism, how can Mr. Sanders and Ms. Warren – both millionaires – contend that the current Free Market system, which has made them both quite wealthy, is worse then Communism???? How did these two make all that money. Either they’re both corrupt or the free market system works – which is it????????
How much is the draft dodging Maher worth?
All those hypothetical democrats who follow the tax rich mantra, are the ones who buy lottery tickets everyday. How can you hate the rich if you are trying to be one. What they don’t understand is that most of today’s rich are generationally rich. Meaning that someone in their family tree came here with nothing and started to generate wealth by working hard then passing that wealth to their children who then passed it on to their children until they became the rich of todays society. We, the middle class, are on the same path. We are generating wealth and passing it on to our children. Who knows, if maybe our children or grandchildren will reach the position of being one of the rich in this country.
