Des Moines Public Schools’ new “Radical Empathy Hiring Initiative” continues to impress, sources have confirmed.
After appointing a man to oversee education who clearly couldn’t even read the expiration date on his visa, or his court order to leave ,the district doubled down by keeping him on paid leave while detained— a move that lets taxpayers pay twice for the privilege of having no superintendent at all.
Progressive leaders hailed this as a victory for “inclusive budgeting,” insisting that compensating someone in custody was “an innovative way to merge social justice with payroll.”
A Dem nominee and school board official further explained that background checks are now optional, résumés can be doodled in crayon, and the only real requirement for leadership is “promise to vote blue”.
Parents voiced concern, but the board assured them this is the future of education: “Why waste money on textbooks when we can spend it on bail money?”
As of press time, the superintendent had applied for tenure from his holding cell, citing “remote work flexibility”, Dems approved.
