DETROIT, MI — Abdul El-Sayed unveiled a revolutionary healthcare proposal Monday promising Americans free healthcare in exchange for the minor inconvenience of everyone paying more money to the government, sources have confirmed.
“Instead of paying an insurance company you don’t trust, you’ll pay Washington,” El-Sayed explained.
“Problem solved.”
Campaign officials displayed a chart comparing both systems.
OLD SYSTEM: premiums, paperwork, denials, hold music, bureaucracy.
NEW SYSTEM: taxes, paperwork, denials, hold music, bureaucracy, but with an eagle logo.
One voter asked how healthcare could be free if taxes increase.
“That’s the beautiful part,” replied an adviser.
“We stop calling it your money.”
El-Sayed pointed to Medicare as proof government can efficiently manage healthcare, prompting several seniors to enter carrying prescription appeals, appointment paperwork, and one phone still playing hold music from February.
A campaign aide quickly ushered them backstage.
The plan also introduces modern terminology: premiums become “community health contributions,” deductibles become “patriotic wellness thresholds,” and denied claims become “temporary care optimism adjustments.”
When asked whether Washington might waste any of the new revenue, officials laughed for several uninterrupted minutes.
As of press time, Americans were relieved to learn they could finally escape healthcare bureaucracy by replacing it with larger healthcare bureaucracy funded through mandatory optimism.

Or any insurance. Private direct pay only.

MEDICARE IS NOT FREE HEALTHCARE!
Thousands of dollars in extraneous insurance and prescription costs and co-pays.
“Follow the money!”
Exactly! I have to pay an amount of my Social Security into Medicare, then I have to shell out money for my prescriptions thru Express scripts or local pharmacies. I’m retired military and the promise of free health care I was suckered into believing is a bit of a joke.
Doesn’t the military pay for your healthcare?
Did the military (government) never tell you that retired vets get insurance called Tricare? I had a cousin who retired from military. He never knew about the Tricare plan and paid an additional amount to a private insurance company for YEARS.
The post about a retired military member not being made aware of TRICARE is not possible. The post is false because every military Retiree completes mandatory paperwork. The paperwork deals with decisions that must be completed and signed. Example: if married, the retiree must decide whether or not to have survivor benefits in case of death after retirement. The retiree and spouse must decide to receive a reduced monthly pension and guarantee the spouse receives a partial pension in the event of a death of the retiree, or for the retiree spouse to receive zero benefit in the event of death following retirement but the retiree receives 100% of pension for life. TRICARE is always disclosed as an option, and the retiree gets to choose it or purchase a Medicare supplement private policy of their own choosing. It is total malarkey ( I am being kind) to say the retiree was never advised about the TRICARE for Life option.
Retiring from the military and not knowing about Tricare must have taken a monumental effort.
The same free play resuscitated from the liberal book of Dreams (Russia,Cuba,Venezuela,Nicaragua).
How did that end up? Only the limited party circle enriched and lived the dream, the rest are still awaiting for the promised land.
We are paying more already. Like car insurance, part of the bill is for the driver. But the other part is covering the uninsured driver who is involved in an accident. So part of our medical insurance is paying for the uninsured who receives “free” medical care. Of course the country of their origin isn’t going to pay. It’s just one more freeloader they got rid of.
Worst part — watch freedom of choice of physician, procedure, and venue disappear. I get great results because I choose my doctors carefully. Watch for health care shortages and long wait times for elective surgeries.
I had a friend who was a top exec. for a major health insurance company.
After his meeting with Obama I asked him,” So, what’s this Obama care all about?”
He replied,” Obama wants the government to take over one fifth of the nations total G.D.P.
and if I help him do it, my reward will be that I get to underwrite it !”
This communist free health care for all is the same old scam in a new wrapper !
