A maintenance worker at Orleans Parish Jail was arrested Monday for allegedly sparking the escape of 10 inmates last Friday, by cleaning toilets so aggressively that he punched a hole in the wall, sources have confirmed.
The worker, identified as 45-year-old Earl “Sparkle” Johnson, reportedly used a high-powered pressure washer, creating a breach in the 60-year-old facility’s plumbing wall that inmates crawled through to freedom, according to Sheriff Susan Hutson.
Conservatives on X are howling, with one user quipping, “Only in Biden’s America does cleaning set criminals free!”
Trump, on Truth Social, blamed “weak Democrat infrastructure,” vowing to “build jails tougher than toilets.”
The escaped inmates, including two murder suspects, remain at large, prompting a citywide manhunt.
Liberals defended Johnson, calling it an “honest mistake,” but the right slammed the incident as peak liberal incompetence.
As of press time, Johnson was pitching a “Prison Plumber” reality show to Netflix, claiming he’s “the best cleaner in the joint.”
