WASHINGTON — Rep. Pramila Jayapal unveiled a bold new proposal this week calling for reparations for illegal migrants, arguing that crossing the border without permission has been “emotionally taxing and deserves financial recognition,” sources have confirmed.
The plan would reportedly compensate migrants for “time, effort, and unexpected inconvenience,” while also introducing penalties for law enforcement officers who were “overly committed to enforcing existing laws.”
“We have to ask ourselves,” Jayapal said, “who is really being harmed when laws are followed?”
Sources say the proposal includes a tiered compensation system, offering higher payouts based on distance traveled, obstacles encountered, and what one aide described as “the overall vibe of the journey.”
Meanwhile, American citizens would reportedly be encouraged to participate through a new voluntary program called “Neighbors Funding Neighbors (Who Just Arrived).”
“We believe Americans will step up,” one staffer explained.
“And if they don’t, we’ll find ways to help them reconsider.”
Critics raised concerns about the plan, noting it appears to reward illegal activity while punishing those tasked with upholding the law — a detail supporters dismissed as “overly literal thinking.”
Insiders say the proposal is part of a broader effort to modernize immigration policy by focusing less on legality and more on “intent, feelings, and narrative alignment.”
As of press time, lawmakers were reportedly exploring additional measures to ensure laws remain flexible enough to avoid being followed too closely.

The emotional distress my ancestors had, when they came from Eastern Europe in the 1860’s was immense, but after coming through Ellis Island and waiting to become citizens they worked their asses off, raised families that contributed to our great land and passed a terrific work ethic forward for generations. Jayapal is an idiot she can donate her salary to the illegals to pay for their airfare home, then we should have her leave back to India where she can run for parliament or whatever.
The illegal alien’s problem has, is and will continue to cost tax paying Americans billions of dollars (estimate for 2023 was 1.56 billion). Eventually it will have cost over one trillion dollars. If you were to offer 15,000,000 illegals $10,000 per adult and $5000 per child to self deport to their home countries. They, the illegals, would have financial support when they returned home which would help them get established. When you consider that in some of these countries $10,000 would be a full year’s wages, it is considerable. A family of four, father-mother and 2 children, would have $30,000 to get setup. The fact that Biden invited them and that they paid thousands to cartels to get here would help with the pain they went through in their journeys and a plane ticket home (a oneday trip + $10,000) would probably be appreciated. In addition, any country they came from that gets US dollars in aid could have the amount paid to them deducted from the aid being given. The good will raised would be felt around the world and if these people still wanted to come to America, they could be offered a chance to legally immigrate after a 5year period. The costs would to take care of illegals would decrease substantially.
