House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., thought he’d hit a home run by posing with a Louisville Slugger to oppose Trump’s “big, beautiful bill.”
Instead, conservatives on X roasted him for a “low-energy” photo that screamed more “bored little leaguer” than “fierce warrior.”

Vice President JD Vance claimed Jeffries’ marathon House speech pushed undecided Republicans to back Trump’s bill, with one GOP congressman texting, “I’m a firm yes now!”
