NEW YORK — New York City residents reportedly began referring to parts of Manhattan as “L.A. with worse bagels” after a sprawling homeless encampment appeared to stretch for blocks, prompting Mayor Zohran Mamdani to reassure voters that everything was going exactly according to the brochure, sources have confirmed.
The growing tent city quickly became the city’s newest residential development, featuring open-air floor plans, street-level amenities, and the kind of free rent New Yorkers realized was technically what socialists had been promising the whole time.
“This is not a crisis,” said one Mamdani aide.
“This is community-first housing without walls, paperwork, plumbing, zoning approval, or anyone in charge.”
Residents said many people have offered food, cash, blankets, and help where they can, while also wondering why the same politicians who promised compassion keep outsourcing the entire job to regular New Yorkers with sandwich bags and Venmo.
Mamdani reportedly encouraged Manhattan residents to open their homes to their new neighbors, though witnesses noted a mysterious “tent-free justice zone” had formed around the mayor’s residence, guarded by staffers holding clipboards labeled Equity Begins Somewhere Else.
When asked whether the city had a serious plan, Mamdani allegedly smiled, made another promise, and immediately caused several aides to check whether his nose had grown three inches.
As of press time, New Yorkers had clarified that when politicians promised free rent, they did not realize they meant sidewalks, tarps, and lectures about compassion from behind a gated fence.
People in NY that voted for this socialist clown deserves every misery that comes with believing this Mayor is going to deliver great things. One city that I will never visit again.

I was under the impression that NYs were smart, my bad. Socialism especially under a Muslum socialist hasn’t worked any where in the world, it only eventually brings poverty, crime and destruction and their are so many examples, just to mention one look at Venezuela it use to be a tourist destination absolutely beautiful, not so much now. The sad and scary thing is other states are buying into this Lie, Several election have been won lately and the number is growing. Muslims have taken over London, London has at this late moment finally woke up but they have millions and it’s not going to be easy to eradicate, it’s an infestation that will destroy America as it has anywhere else its practiced.
