CHATHAM, NJ — A New Jersey school district reportedly unveiled a revolutionary parenting model this week in which mothers and fathers remain responsible for feeding, housing, transporting, clothing, insuring, and disciplining their children, but may need guidance-department approval before becoming unnecessarily involved, sources have confirmed.
Parents immediately received a new 47-page form titled:
REQUEST TO KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON WITH MY OWN KID.
One father asked whether he could ground his son from Xbox.
A counselor frowned.
“Was that punishment reviewed by the Student Lifestyle Coordination Committee?”
“I bought the Xbox.”
“Please stay on topic.”
Teachers then held a three-hour meeting about parental boundaries while unfinished algebra worksheets quietly achieved seniority.
One administrator proposed another training session.
A math teacher raised her hand.
“Can we maybe teach fractions?”
Security was notified.
The district also introduced a Parental Involvement Traffic Light:
Green: Buy groceries.
Yellow: Ask how school went.
Red: Apparently anything requiring actual information.
Meanwhile, New Jersey parents discovered they were still legally expected to pay taxes funding the entire operation.
“That seems convenient,” one mother said.
Officials assured everyone the system was designed to protect students.
As of press time, parents were still permitted to attend graduation, provided guidance first determined they needed to know it was happening.

Look up NJ state Policy 5756—which allows schools to support a student’s social gender transition (such as using a preferred name or pronouns) without notifying parents, unless the student consents.
There’s a federal lawsuit against the School District of the Chathams over its student privacy rules, and another high-profile lawsuit involved a father suing Delaware Valley Regional High School over similar practices. Definitely happening.

Who is NJ is a Socialist?
Though this is a spoof site, it’s also totally true underneath. The PS system has deteriorated since mid 1980’s. Which was when I went to a meeting to address bullying if my daughter. I faced: a principal who had no idea who I was or the issue. A teacher who pushed me over to the counselor..who suggested my 3rd grade daughter needed to “ toughen up”. That summer I found a good home school organization and removed her from PS.

Time to withhold our tax dollars from the public “educational” system. Why should taxpayers support or buy something that is disfunctional. Too many pupils cannot read, write or do arithmetic, let alone have any sense of our history. One would not buy a gallon of spoiled milk, so why should it be expected to contribute to garbage.
