CHICAGO, IL — The NFL reportedly unveiled its softest product yet Sunday after Bears quarterback Caleb Williams grabbed his hamstring and activated a full emergency coddling sequence involving trainers, towels, emotional affirmation, and what witnesses described as “at least one guy whose only job was saying you’re doing great,” sources have confirmed.
Williams went down.
The stadium gasped.
A cart appeared before anyone had finished asking what happened.
One trainer reportedly yelled, “CLEAR THE AREA! HE MAY HAVE EXPERIENCED DISCOMFORT!”
Another produced a blanket.
A third began filling out a form titled:
HOW DID THAT MAKE YOUR LEG FEEL?
Initial reports later suggested the injury may be minor.
Too late.
The NFL had already deployed the Tenderness Response Unit.
Veteran linemen, several of whom appear to be held together by tape, ibuprofen, and tax debt, were ordered to gently carry Williams toward safety while avoiding harsh language.
Next season, Chicago plans to debut the league’s newest protective gear:
The Adult Safety Bubble.
Standard features include padded feelings, helmet-mounted aromatherapy, and a red button labeled SOMEONE LOOK AT ME.
Gatorade is reportedly developing a new flavor:
Blue Raspberry Validation.
The league also plans to replace injury tents with wellness cabanas featuring weighted blankets and guided breathing.
As of press time, one offensive lineman with three broken fingers was told to stop being dramatic and help fluff Caleb’s pillow.

I remembered playing sport like Football and wrestling in the early 70’s. Our coaches were tough and mean. I went in to wrestling for the All Marine Wrestling Team for 14 years. I have never saw one athlete cry when I did wrestling. I went in to become a two time alternate for the Olympic team. That was just as tough of any sports to be involved with.
Kids today are just too soft and spend too much time in front of the iPhone. No one is tough anymore.
I keep your emails coming because the pictures are fantastic and the prose is so entertaining I can’t let them go. Keep them coming, BUT please let me know what vehicle like NFL app, or NY Times, or even Motley Fool initiated these wonderful emails.
Thank you,
