New York City officials clarified this week that Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s campaign promise of “fast and free buses” was never intended to exist in the physical world, but rather as a “conceptual transportation experience” designed to inspire hope, reduce expectations, and delay follow-up questions, Sources have confirmed
After months of promoting the plan as a cornerstone of his platform, Mamdani acknowledged the initiative has encountered a few unforeseen obstacles, including funding, logistics, math, traffic, physics, and the basic structure of reality.
Supporters insisted the promise should still be considered fulfilled when viewed through what aides described as a “non-transactional expectations framework.”
“Fast and free doesn’t really exist,” one city official explained.
“But the idea of fast and free? That’s something we can all believe in together.”
Residents, meanwhile, reported experiencing what experts are calling “policy whiplash” after realizing the only thing moving quickly was the disappearance of campaign promises.
“I thought I was getting free rides,” one commuter said.
“Turns out I got a free lesson.”
Sources inside City Hall confirmed the buses will still technically be “free” in the sense that taxpayers will continue paying for them whether they ride or not.
As for “fast,” planners reportedly considered painting the word FAST on the side of existing buses and calling the pledge complete.
As of press time, Mamdani was unveiling a new initiative promising “Affordable Luxury Housing,” which aides confirmed will also exist primarily as a feeling.

You idiots elected him. Did you really believe he was going to be able to do his socialist ideas? Maybe you should have remembered the old saying…if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Sad how all these “tough New Yorkers” let this happen! It is especially pathetic and shameful to America!!!
Oh the naivety of the voting public never ceases to amaze me.
I feel sorry for the people who knew what he was and didn’t vote for him. They got screwed as well. It’s too bad NY doesn’t have a recall option. They should look into that.
Mamdani, like others across America, preach ‘free’ and ‘equal’ to fuel the feeling of victimization for emotional votes and it works with the uninformed populace. His/others long term objective is to take over our country’s cities with their extremist views. It’s not democracy they want but Islamic, Sharia rule. London is now a perfect example of the take over —London’s mayor called to congratulate Mamdani. That in itself is unusual and should open New Yorker’s minds! Sweden is sick of Sharia law ruining their cities and are sending illegals out. Changing the fabric of a nation by lying to the voters seems to be a winning ticket but we need to remember after 9/11, Islamist terrorist like the Ayatollah said they’d destroy and take over the “Western civilization countries from within.” Unfortunately the “useful idiots”, as Stalin called these type of uninformed American voters, are falling hook-line-and sinker for the lies and their own demise.
Well said, Lin
How do you spell “RECALL” ???
Doesn’t this sound familiar? Remember when we were told:
The border is closed.
Inflation is transitory.
Electric car recharging systems are being built throughout the country.
Men can get pregnant
Men are women and women are men.
Wokeness is good.
DEI is not racist.
Anyone can decide what sex they are at any given time.
Joe Biden is cognizant and aware.
Russia, Russia, Russia
Trump is a pedophile, but Biden isn’t although, he’s the one who showered with his daughter.
Trump is a dictator, but the democrats want to tell you what kind of car you must drive, what types of appliances you can have, how much water you can use, you must wear a mask, you must get a useless vaccination, you can’t defend yourself, you can’t vote for republican, you can’t protest against their administration.
The lies are mounting and they are being exposed.
This satire is hilarious. Since I am not an NYC resident I can laugh out loud at this FUBAR mayor. I don’t think NYC residents are amused.
I especially liked, and I paraphrase, Mamdani acknowledged his promises have encountered a few unforeseen obstacles, including funding, logistics, math, traffic, physics, etc, etc, etc, and the basic structure of reality. Brilliant !
Ah….promise anything to get elected.
As the old saying goes”elections have consequences “ ,here is a great example of what happens when people don’t vote…NYC voters don’t be surprised with his Muslim Socialist takeover..Be careful for what you wished ,voted for!
But will they remember?
