In an unexpected turn of events at Thursday’s press briefing, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller took it upon himself to school the White House press corps in what he termed a “civics lesson” on presidential powers, sources have confirmed.
Miller, known for his fiery rhetoric, decided that a simple press briefing wasn’t quite enough to address the misunderstandings about the extent of executive authority.
Armed with a chalkboard and a pointer, Miller transformed the briefing room into a makeshift classroom. Reporters were treated to an hour-long lecture complete with diagrams and quotes from the Federalist Papers. “It’s like being back in high school, but with more security clearance,” quipped one journalist.
Miller’s lesson covered everything from the veto power to executive orders and the constitutional basis for emergency declarations. While some reporters seemed to appreciate the refresher, others were less enthused, questioning whether they’d receive homework or have to pass a pop quiz on the material.
As of press time, several reporters were seen exchanging notes and cramming for an anticipated test on the material, while a ‘Civics 101’ textbook authored by Miller was reportedly already in the works.
He did too and it was glorious!
He should do weekly lessons and remove those from briefings who are failing…
