NEW YORK — Frustrated blue-collar union leaders reportedly warned socialist politicians this week that open-border policies are driving down wages and pushing working-class voters out of the Democratic Party, sources have confirmed.
The warning came after several politicians insisted labor unions should simply embrace “wage equity” by competing with untrained crews, cash contractors, and one guy who watched twelve minutes of drywall repair on YouTube.
“There’s a difference between a licensed tradesman and somebody named Rico with a ladder and confidence,” one union boss said. “If you want bargain-bin labor, enjoy bargain-bin buildings.”
Socialist officials reportedly responded by proposing free rent, free buses, free college, free groceries, and free emergency repairs once the first four programs collapsed.
Union members were unimpressed.
“These people can’t run a fare-free bus system without running out of money,” one electrician said.
“Now they want to redesign labor markets using slogans and vibes?”
Another worker suggested politicians try fixing their own plumbing, wiring their own offices, and building their own campaign stages with a TikTok tutorial.
“If experience doesn’t matter, grab a wrench,” he said. “Let’s see democracy install a boiler.”
As of press time, union leaders had formally invited socialist candidates to repair a leaking pipe themselves, while standing safely outside with coffee and a stopwatch.
