LAS VEGAS — Six months after Anthony Joshua folded Jake Paul like a sponsored lawn chair, sources say the YouTuber-turned-boxer is still trying to identify what hit him, with Joshua helpfully clarifying, “Me,” sources have confirmed.
Paul entered the fight with his usual advantages: confidence, camera crew, podcast lighting, and a résumé built from retired legends, exhibition matches, and opponents old enough to stretch during introductions.
Unfortunately, Joshua arrived with something Paul’s team had not prepared for: an actual heavyweight boxer.
Witnesses say the first punch caused Paul’s entire influencer boxing empire to briefly disconnect from Wi-Fi.
His corner immediately tried to throw in a towel, a merch contract, and three apology videos, but it was too late.
Fight fans hailed Joshua as the knight boxing did not know it needed, riding into the ring to slay the algorithm, rescue the sport, and remind everyone that calling yourself a fighter on YouTube is not the same as standing across from Anthony Joshua.
Paul’s team later insisted the loss was part of a larger brand strategy called “Getting Knocked Out For Awareness.”
Joshua showed little remorse.
“That’s what people asked me to do,” he said.
“I delivered.”
As of press time, Paul was reportedly planning his comeback against a retired field hockey mascot, while Joshua was being fitted for a ceremonial sword labeled “Influencer Slayer.”

Very good! Thanks for the laugh.
Love it! Deflaton of the influencer windbag was awesome and hilarious.
That was a body slam to the ol funny bone
Humor aside, has anyone heard of an explanation of why Paul would ever have considered a bout versus Joshua, let alone gone through with it? It was a formula for disaster if ever there was one; Paul surely couldn’t have thought he’d have any chance of winning. I figured that he was willing to be nearly killed just for his share of the purse, but if there’s another explanation, I’d be interested to hear it.
That was awesome. My take is that Paul has beaten pro fighters before. His confidence was probably sky high after some of those wins. However, none of the other fighters were in the same league as Joshua, and I’m sure nobody in his crew was going to break the actual news that he was walking into a nightmare. I’m still not believing there were no pre-fight contract-binding rules that Joshua not hospitalize Paul early in the fight. Joshua seemed to have mercy on him at times, and it looked like he was sparring insterad of going in for the kill. Paul was lucky Joshua didn’t severely injure him.
