FRANKFORT, KY — Gov. Andy Beshear shocked Democrats Tuesday after praising the DSA’s “big ideas” and accidentally admitting that government might be expected to work for the people paying for it, sources have confirmed.
Republicans immediately burst into uncontrollable laughter.
“Hold on,” one lawmaker reportedly gasped.
“Their big idea is doing their jobs?”
Beshear, sensing the socialist wing might actually defeat establishment Democrats, quickly climbed aboard the bandwagon and unveiled several revolutionary concepts:
Fixing roads with taxpayer money, lowering bills, answering constituent phone calls, and occasionally remembering taxpayers exist after Election Day.
DSA officials welcomed the enthusiasm but reminded Beshear that infrastructure money must first pass through seventeen consultants, six equity studies, and somebody’s nonprofit.
Kentuckians were confused by the announcement.
“Beshear?” asked one resident.
“Isn’t that the guy who appears when there’s a fundraiser or television camera?”
Republicans accused the governor of being a political fair-weather fan who shows up wherever the cheering is loudest.
Beshear denied this, insisting he had always known politicians worked for voters.
“I was testing everyone,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Republicans continued watching establishment Democrats and socialists fight over the steering wheel while quietly collecting the pieces falling off the car.
As of press time, Beshear announced another big idea: winning elections by doing things voters actually want.

Worse governor ever, and, yes, I live in KY. He simply rides on the coattails of his daddy.
It seems to me he was out front when Kentucky had those waves of floods. He must have sometjhing going for him getting elected twice in red state like Kentucky.
