The President shocked and impressed onlookers today, as he somehow completely blew out both of his knees while throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at this afternoon’s baseball game between the Washington Nationals and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
“I’ve never seen an injury quite like that,” said Kyle Sheridan, a Nationals fan that attended today’s game. “I know Joe’s not exactly a spring chicken, but the way his knees just gave out from beneath him as soon as he wound up for the pitch, it was insane. I heard the pops from my seat in the upper deck. Frankly, I’m not sure how any of that is possible, but I saw it with my own two eyes.”
In addition to casting a dark shadow on the game to follow, the public couldn’t help but wonder what Biden’s injury could mean for the upcoming election.
“Recovering from two blown MCL’s and multiple compound fractures is tough no matter what, especially in an election year,” said Julie Chávez Rodríguez, Biden’s campaign manager. “But we’re gonna duke it out and hopefully do it in a way that minimizes further injury to our very, very fragile President.”
As of press time, several injuries sustained by President Biden during his initial physical therapy evaluation have delayed his recovery even further.
