SACRAMENTO, CA — California officials announced that the state’s high-speed rail project has reached a milestone after spending $15 billion without purchasing trains, laying track, or moving a passenger, sources have confirmed.
Gov. Gavin Newsom blamed President Trump for sabotaging the project by expecting California to meet grant deadlines, submit paperwork, and produce something resembling transportation.
“The federal government weaponized calendars,” Newsom said.
“This is an attack on innovation.”
State auditors introduced a game show, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: Fact or Fiction, asking taxpayers to identify what their money purchased.
High-speed trains: Fiction.
Completed railway: Fiction.
Luxury SUVs for consultants: Fact.
Michelin-starred infrastructure lunches: Fact.
Seventeen diversity committees studying whether locomotives reinforce colonial movement patterns: Extremely fact.
Officials denied reports that millions went to campaign contributors named John Smith, explaining that 43 John Smiths were unrelated visionaries who coincidentally shared an accountant.
CBS conducted an investigation, releasing new findings after Newsom and friends asked for additional funds, noting that much of the spending “remains difficult to physically locate, measure, or explain without a second round of consulting fees.”
Newsom unveiled California’s five-step construction strategy:
Blame Trump, demand more money, hire consultants, complete nothing, then tax wealthy residents who have not escaped to Nevada.
The state now seeks another $20 billion to investigate why the previous $15 billion failed to transform into a train.
As of press time, California celebrated progress by purchasing an expensive golden shovel for the groundbreaking ceremony of its next groundbreaking ceremony.
The high speed rail will never be completed for two reasons ;
1) It is too lucrative a grift for Governor Newsom and the rest of the Democratically
controlled grifting California governance to give up.
2) If it is completed, high net worth California taxpayers will have a faster way of escaping the grift than having to rent a U-haul and drive !
No one had ever figured out how to finance the crucial southern connection of the high speed rail project into Los Angeles, over or through the mountains. What would have made sense would have been an express commuter rail line, similar to San Diego’s Coast Express Rail (COASTER) and Los Angeles’ Metrolink. These use conventional, proven equipment on conventional tracks. Such a system would have eased residential crowding and prices in the Bay Area by enabling Silicon Valley employees to live in smaller cities down toward Merced. In 1984 there was a proposal to build high-speed rail from Oceanside to downtown San Diego, with only one stop (maybe) at Solana Beach. Our neighborhood opposition group helped kill the project, while planting the germ of a concept for commuter rail, which became reality in 1995 (NCTD’s Coaster) and is still running and popular 31 years later.
The only perplexing thing about this boondoggle mess is that a portion of the Democrats in this country actually think this idiot Newsom would be a good President.

As a resident of Irvine, CA, we think Newscum is an idiot. How can he even be a good President candidate when he could not even developed a rail system to help ease the traffic concerns. Then the homeless problem, my city doesn’t put up with it and very rarely see any. Then the crime, the democrats destroyed this state by not going after the criminals, street takeovers, and people taking from the government to copy from the Somalian idiots. I live (or I’m trying to live) in California. The ‘High Speed Rail’ construction is a joke. There are lots of monuments to corruption built by this boondoogle but, No track – No train – and a plan to run between two cities very few people visit. The nick name ‘Kalifornication’ is an accurate description of what the state bureaucracy does to it’s tax paying constituents every single day. Monies collected from bridge tolls alone in the San Francisco Bay area {Seven State-Owned Bridges: $8.50 per car, (San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, Dumbarton, San Mateo-Hayward, Richmond-San Rafael, Antioch, Benicia-Martinez, and Carquinez), Golden Gate Bridge: $10.50 with FasTrak; $11.25 if paid via mail invoice Payment Methods FasTrak} would support most state governments. Tens of thousands of cars cross each one of these bridges every day. If you do the math, even conservative estimates show a staggering amount of money being collected and no one seems to knows where all that money goes either. The roads suck, the traffic sucks, the cost of living is terrible, and our LA bureaucrats have a very hard time providing basic utilities – like water to fire hydrants in one of the most prestigious and expensive residential neighborhoods on the planet. They can not seem to figure out how to supply potable drinking water, fight wild fires or supply reliable electrical power to this state and they want to run a high speed like the Japanese?? Ridiculous. Medical treatments keep me and my family in this Beautiful state run by the most corrupt people in America. If I could, my house would be on the sales market tomorrow and as millions have already done – flee this corrupt socialist cesspool and move back to the United States of America!!
I’m reading all these comments and saying to myself your complaints are all the same “Why are you all still voting for the same people every election?” Change will NOT happen without action by everyone……….get rid of all these lawmakers….clean house and try another party! At least give them a chance, if they fail, get rid of them!
We keep on drinking the same Kool Aid every election hoping things will change. After the last 16 years of the same party rule can’t we at least try the other guy. I know there are thousands of us who remember the beautiful days in one of the most beautiful states in the US. It is now one of the biggest eyesores in the US due to the leadership over the last couple of decades. We have got to choose our candidates more wisely and not listen to Hollywood’s Elite, the life long politicians, the billionaire extremists and look for more common sense individuals with the life skills that made this state and country what is was. This is not Utopia! No more promises that we will all be equal and all will be given to us without strings!!!! That’s insanity and useless dreaming. Always wanting what others have but not working for it is pathetic and destructive.
We live in one of the greatest countries in the world and we must stop tearing it down and stand up with pride and determination to preserve what we have. Our men and women cannot have died in vain to preserve our freedom. If you immigrate, you must assimilate. You cannot come here to teardown what our ancestors fought to preserve.
Let’s get off our butts and VOTE for change this next election and then keep their feet to the fire on being fiscally and morally responsible. PLEASE WAKE UP CALIFORNIANS BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!
