WASHINGTON — Former Obama campaign strategists warned this week that the Democratic Party has become “a mess,” admitting party leaders are struggling to explain what they stand for beyond a deep and abiding belief that whatever President Trump does must immediately be opposed, sources have confirmed.
Party insiders say the problem began several years ago when Democratic leaders discovered it was easier to simply react to Trump in real time rather than develop policies of their own.
“It saves a lot of planning,” said one strategist.
“If Trump says the sky is blue, our job is to hold a press conference explaining why the sky is actually problematic.”
According to aides, many Democratic talking points are now created moments before television interviews by rapidly refreshing Trump’s latest statement and writing “THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS” in large capital letters.
Critics say the approach has left voters confused about what the party actually believes.
“That’s not true,” said one Democratic communications advisor.
“Our message is very clear: Trump is bad, orange hair is bad, and whatever he’s doing today is extremely bad.”
Members of the progressive “Squad” reportedly rejected criticism that the party lacks ideas, noting they have several strong concepts, including a bold new plan to accuse Trump of things every 15 minutes.
Political analysts say the strategy has left the party struggling in states where voters keep asking inconvenient questions about the economy, border security, and jobs.
As of press time, Democratic leaders were reportedly scrambling to locate today’s official “Blame President Trump” talking point before the afternoon cable news interviews.

People are waiting 3 hours at airports, my Coast Guard neighbor is furloughed, and hard working Americans are not getting paid because the 535 jackasses in Congress, and yes the President too, are putting their silly agendas ahead of doing the right thing and funding DHS,so that people can get paid. Two Americans are dead in Minneapolis because of their own culpability in confronting ICE agents but this is more important to Democrats than paying DHS employees for the jobs they are doing.Keeping masks on ICE agents is more important to Republicans than paying DHS employees for the jobs they are doing. And all the while these F-in do nothing hypocrites are collecting their paychecks and keeping their lucrative perks. If the American electorate had any scruples and

In the general sense I agree with you…
ALL politicians are employees of we the tax paying American citizens and in general we are not getting from our employees what we are paying for.
Specifically though, in this case, I’d have to say the blame is squarely on the Democrats.
By their choice, people were aloud to invade our country and the Democrat party promotes paying them social service money for doing nothing ! At the same time they are NOT paying actual government workers who’s job it is to protect all Americans from harm. The tax payers are exposed. The government workers are exposed and if Ice took off their masks they would be the most exposed. The only ones who are not exposed are the Democrat Law makers who continue to collect their pay checks and the people they promoted to invade our country and live freely off of our social programs.
Nope, in this case I’m going to have to stick with my dysfunctional marriage analogy !
Republicans already fired Noem, agreed to body cameras and no roving patrols. Removing masks wouldn’t be an issue if the agents weren’t being doxed. The protesters wear masks. Why can’t ICE do the same? And BTW – if Minnesota officials had allowed cops to hold ILLEGAL CRIMINALS and hand them over to ICE there wouldn’t have been roving patrols, and no one would be dead. (I agree, the deceased are victims of their own stupidity as much as anything the ICE agents did.) If Dems would act like adults instead of toddlers throwing a temper tantrum, we wouldn’t be in this situation. And if the media told the truth about what was going on, fewer people would be voting for the toddlers.

I can’t help noticing that the overwhelming vast majority of Federal government departments that collect tax from the tax payer and then redistribute it for 100,000 different reasons are all still open !
Yet, a very, very, very small group of agency’s, all of which have the most important jobs of keeping people safe are closed !
This is nothing but an absolute extortion scheme being perpetrated by the Democrats.
They are purposely putting American lives at risk and threatening to continue to do so until we the people agree to let the Democrats cheat for what they believe will be on their behalf by having non-citizens vote in our elections through dropping the requirement for voter I.D. ! It’s that plain, that simple and that sinister !

I agree with you that these hypocritical Dem bums are the real felons in denying the DHS employees their rightful pay, but they’ve checkmated the GOP by declaring that they want to fund everyone but ICE, which by the way has been funded already by the BBB legislation. So now the Dem media can claim it’s the GOP to blame for the long TSA lines, and the stupid, clueless American electorate will buy that argument hook line and sinker.
