In a twist of political irony, Democrats are organizing a large-scale protest outside the residence of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for his decision to keep the government running by voting yes on a continuing resolution (CR), sources have confirmed.
The move, which has traditionally been a point of consensus among lawmakers to avoid governmental shutdowns, has unexpectedly sparked outrage among some Democrats who view the decision as a betrayal of negotiating leverage.
