In a dazzling display of socialist brilliance that had economists spitting out their coffee, New York City’s socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani unveiled his “Everyone’s Poor Now” Universal Grift, declaring that a shocking 62% of New Yorkers are trapped in soul-crushing poverty — even those making a measly $160,000 a year, Sources have confirmed.
Mamdani’s groundbreaking Preliminary Citywide Equity Plan explained that the cruel, outdated federal poverty line failed to account for the true horrors of capitalism, such as $7 avocado toast, $18 oat milk lattes, and the daily trauma of possibly seeing a Captalist in public.
While leftists scream “No Kings!” in the streets about imaginary tyranny, they happily vote for mayors like Mamdani who promise to crown Big Government as the ultimate ruler with unlimited power, programs, and control.
The solution?
Every New Yorker will now receive their very own Personal Equity Officer, free housing, free food, free therapy goats, and a generous stipend so they never have to work again.
The glorious equality of shared misery will finally be achieved under their new socialist king.
When asked who would pay for this utopia now that nearly everyone is officially impoverished, Mamdani smiled and pointed at anyone who doesn’t vote for him.
“The rich will just have to do a little more,” he said, redefining “rich” as anyone earning above $45,000 who once liked a Trump post.
As of press time, Mayor Mamdani was busy moving the goalposts so far left they circled the globe, while the last remaining taxpayer in Manhattan packed his bags for Florida and shouted “Good luck funding this with my tax dollars, Your Majesty— enjoy ruling over a city full of millionaires who are now officially residents elsewhere”

If this particular Scrape was actually satirical, it would be humorously entertaining. But the fact that every single part of it is truth based, exposes how cynical and sinister Mamdani and his ilk really are about the once greatest city in our country ! I hope the productive people who are fleeing N.Y. for Florida, Texas, Tennessee and others, leave Mamdani’s Marxist/Islamist cynicism about who we should be behind !

Well, Ruth, you may be right, but from here in Florida I cannot see much of that. Most (not all) of the folks fleeing New York and the other Marxist states–my new neighbors– are those who actually work, or have worked, for a living and a well-deserved retirement and are escaping for a fairer and more rational government. Those people do NOT vote Blue.
At one time getting residency in a state you just moved to required 6 months or longer. I don’t know if those laws still exist. But if states have such laws it could be extended to 1 year. One can not vote in state elections during this time. Allowing new voters to acclimate and better understand the needs of their new state.
