This unprecedented personal policy is a direct challenge to the Trump administration’s deportation efforts, with Frey declaring, “If the government won’t protect them, my guest rooms will.”
The mayor’s residence is reportedly being outfitted with bunk beds and welcome mats, transforming it from a private home into what Frey calls “Camp Freedom.” Neighbors were surprised to see tents and makeshift shelters popping up in the mayor’s yard, complete with a sign that reads, “No Deportations, Just Invitations.”

When family or authorities go to Frey’s because they don’t get an answer on the phone or he doesn’t show up for work and find him dead or family raped and dead, well you know the drill.
