NEW YORK — Mayor Zohran Mamdani was reportedly stunned this week after politely asking New Yorkers to behave during the Knicks’ final game, only for thousands of residents to respond by climbing buses, setting things on fire, and reminding him that New York City does not, in fact, take behavior notes from a socialist substitute teacher, sources have confirmed.
“Please celebrate responsibly,” Mamdani said before the game, unaware he had just issued what New Yorkers interpreted as a formal challenge.
Within minutes, crowds reportedly began scaling city buses, blocking streets, lighting fires, and chanting, “You don’t tell us what to do,” which aides later described as “grassroots democracy, but with more insurance claims.”
City officials were confused by the reaction, since Mamdani had spent his campaign promising fewer consequences, softer laws, free stuff, and a government that mostly apologizes before asking anyone to stop doing crime.
“We don’t understand,” said one staffer.
“We told them society is oppressive, authority is suspicious, enforcement is harmful, and then they refused to listen to authority. Something went wrong.”
Mamdani’s loudest critic, Michael Rapaport, reportedly shouted “not on my watch,” which confused witnesses since it did, in fact, happen on his watch while he was watching it happen and yelling about it into a phone.
Political experts say the moment represented a rare New York achievement: two men loudly talking out of their asses while a third guy tried to parkour off public transportation.
Progressive activists defended the chaos, insisting the burning buses were not riots, but “community-led mobile heat equity demonstrations.”
As of press time, Mamdani had announced a new public safety plan requiring all future fires to be means-tested, union-approved, and referred to as affordable warmth.

Mandani doesn’t get the message. They finally figured out that zhon is a con artist.
There needs to be a “Anti Riot game act”anyone caught vandalizing the city shall be sentenced no less than 5 years. After all the corrupted Democrats put the J6 Patriots in jail with no trial. Sounds fair to me.
Can’t happen, the crooked NYC judges would drop charges to spitting on the sidewalk, and give the rioterd millions in damages due to lost time.
You guys are great! Love the puns and the fun descriptions.
Unfortunately, in crowds of millions there are some bad actors. And the cynics taking Mamdani to task because they did what they have always done when hidden by others are of the same ilk, hiding in the crowd
No guts—no glory!
Too funny. Libs have allowed this behavior so what’s the big surprise when ppl act out????!!!
