WASHINGTON — Democratic leaders announced plans this week to boycott airlines, hotels, rental car agencies, and possibly public libraries after John Thune pointed out those institutions already require photo ID, a revelation party officials say forced immediate action, sources have confirmed.
According to insiders, the boycott was triggered moments after Thune highlighted what he called a “double standard” on ID requirements — a claim Democrats swiftly rejected by proving it correct and then declaring it unacceptable.
“We cannot allow Thune to be right about anything,” said one senior Democratic strategist.
“If that means boycotting reality itself, then so be it.”
Party leaders say the new boycott will target any institution requiring identification, with a few carefully crafted exceptions.
“Obviously, we’ll still require ID when boarding planes, entering secure buildings, attending rallies, or checking into five-star hotels,” one lawmaker clarified.
“As long as those situations involve us.”
Sources say several Democrats attempted to boycott ID requirements immediately, only to encounter unexpected complications, including being unable to rent cars, access offices, or pick up catered lunches for climate summits.
One aide reportedly tried checking into a hotel without ID as a form of protest, before quietly presenting it moments later “for safety reasons.”
Political analysts say the move reflects a growing commitment within the party to oppose anything Republicans support, regardless of prior agreement.
“It’s about consistency,” one advisor explained.
“We consistently oppose whatever they say, even if we were doing it five minutes ago.”
As of press time, Democrats were reportedly refining the boycott to exclude any situation where ID is required for their personal convenience, safety, or ability to attend exclusive events criticizing ID requirements.

Congress passed the REAL ID after 9/11.The Democrat Congress had and still has no problem or complaints that women have to show their marriage certificate for this ID they voted for. The Democrat Congress also does not complain that the Social Security Department requires proof of marriage to change maiden to married name. The State of Massachusetts even required new type birth certificate with a code before anyone could get the REAL ID or a passport and charged $10 for the original birth certificate replacement then $40 for the REAL ID. Yet Democrats are complaining that women and others will be disenfranchised to vote because they have to show proof of citizenship when they already made us do it just to travel. This shows the new Democrat party is driven by power hungry haters, who openly lie to further destroy the American culture and replace it with WHAT!
How can democrats be so stupid. They have nothing to stand on that the American people will back them. Hopefully the democrats party completely falls apart before they finish destroying this country. They have no leadership just the old guard with big mouths and the same stupid ideas of decades ago that didn’t work then and still won’t work now.
