NEW YORK — Blue state governors across the country are reportedly scrambling to convince wealthy residents to return after successfully driving them out with what officials describe as “aggressive appreciation policies,” sources have confirmed.
From New York to California, leaders expressed confusion over why high-income earners are fleeing to states like Florida, Texas, and Tennessee — places critics say offer dangerously high levels of lower taxes, economic freedom, and basic gratitude.
“We don’t understand,” one state official said.
“We raised their taxes, criticized them publicly, and told them to leave… and now they’ve left?”
New York Governor Kathy Hochul has reportedly begun personally calling the few remaining wealthy residents, urging them to stay and fund the state’s expanding list of free programs — a list aides confirm is growing faster than the number of people left to pay for it.
“It’s really just a handful of patriots now,” one insider said.
“We’re down to, like… three guys and a dentist.”
Sources say Hochul has praised those remaining as “heroes,” while quietly asking if they have any wealthy friends who haven’t escaped yet.
When reporters asked if she planned to personally contribute more of her own money, one aide clarified the situation.
“Of course she supports funding these programs,” the aide said.
“Just not geographically.”
Meanwhile, states like Florida have reportedly rolled out welcome mats reading “Stay As Long As You Want — We Won’t Yell At You,” attracting a steady stream of former blue-state residents arriving with moving trucks, relief, and dramatically lower tax bills.
As of press time, Hochul was reportedly asking the last remaining taxpayer to turn off the lights on their way out.
Yeah well the only problem with this is that these Blue State refugees don’t change their voting habits when they move to Red States, and eventually they pollute their new state’s politics. Example: Virginia over the past 15 years.
One big problem is whether their views on government, private property and everything else matters. Will they support real conservatives? big question there. Are they still sending mega buck donations to liberal candidates? or rather Have they learned anything?!
Because the number of people were smart, enough worked hard did the right thing took care of their employees made good so they have to pay. I don’t think so. I’d leave too.

Send NY more illegals. They pay lots of taxes. Never send money to the South.
It’s becoming more and more apparent Schumer and his Democrats have lost it , they do not know if they are coming or going, time to step away their preaching from a distant time era., Open the government fat cats, like you are getting paid while Hard working honest American tax payers are not. or all you all in for the Communist Party?
During wonderful times when the economy is booming, you can have tons of social programs. The problem is politicians look at that and say let’s keep increasing all these programs even in the face of an economy that is slowing, that just doesn’t work, but they can’t stop giving people money or they lose votes.
