To “reduce stress during the shutdown,” Democrats have proposed taxpayer-funded luxury getaways featuring jacuzzis and resort amenities for their fellow progressives, calling the plan “Bubbles for Bureaucrats,” sources have confirmed.
According to leaked talking points, the upcoming retreats will include heated tubs, massage chairs, and complimentary “mindfulness champagne.”
Rep. AOC reportedly praised the idea, explaining that “the jets represent equity in motion,” while Hakeem Jeffries demanded “higher water temps for morale.”
Chuck Schumer allegedly requested live lobsters be flown in “to ease the struggle,” along with other high-end entrees “to promote unity through butter.”
When someone raised concerns about reopening the government, AOC reportedly shouted, “If we fund the government, our getaways are cancelled!”
Witnesses say several Democrats began chanting, “Keep it closed! Keep it closed!” while Schumer rehearsed swimsuit fittings “for transparency.”
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy blasted the proposal, noting that while Democrats prepare to “soak in socialism,” millions of Americans are soaking their paychecks in overdraft fees.
As of press time, Schumer was seen packing his swim cap and government-issued “bathing suit Depends,” citing “accidents happen” as a party slogan.
