HAVANA — A group of far-left activists traveled to Cuba this week to stand in solidarity with struggling residents, promptly checking into the only hotel on the island with full electricity, air conditioning, and high-speed Wi-Fi, sources have confirmed.
The activists, who arrived to host an event on justice and awareness, were reportedly surprised to be greeted by locals holding “Viva Trump” banners and chanting, “We don’t want you here,” before returning to homes that had not seen power in days.
“It was confusing,” one activist said while adjusting the lobby thermostat to what staff described as “peak empathy temperature.”
“We came here to help.”
Sources say the group remained committed to their mission, hosting panels on inequality while ensuring their devices stayed fully charged and their almond milk lattes were kept at “activism-ready temperature” using the hotel’s backup generator.
Meanwhile, residents navigating rolling blackouts reportedly observed the event from darkened homes, noting the activists’ dedication to raising awareness from a well-lit, climate-controlled distance.
The visiting group also expressed concern over being booed, with one performer describing it as “unexpected pushback from the people we’re here to speak for.”
Analysts say the situation highlights a recurring issue.
“They keep showing up to help,” one observer noted, “and forgetting to check if anyone asked.”
As of press time, activists were reportedly condemning the blackout while requesting the hotel increase lighting to “full solidarity brightness.”

“Yankee go home”
Gee, it wouldn’t have been the ugly little troll gnome Greta would it? I thought she was headed to Cuba?
Not the right type of help. Liberals just need to mind their own business.
I know this article is sarcasm, which I love, but the enduring truth, the left is once again on the wrong side of an issue. They seem to seek out positions that common sense will tell you are just wrong. They defend a regime that has preyed on their people since “La Revolution” providing no support for the people, and in fact living the high life, while the citizens only get by. Only two classes, the rich and powerful and the lower class. How about them being forced to remain in Cuba.
The far left need totake their Ibusiness and go back where they came from. They are the trouble makers.they are the problem everywhere they are and everywhere they go. No one wants them around.
