Chicago Public Schools are celebrating a record 92% high school graduation rate for 2025, despite absenteeism hitting an all-time high of 45%, thanks to a “no grade below C” policy, sources have confirmed.
The district’s new rule, implemented in 2023 under Mayor Brandon Johnson, ensures no student fails, even if they rarely show up, with some schools reporting 60% chronic absenteeism.
“We’re empowering kids by removing failure!” Johnson boasted, while conservatives on X scoffed, with one user quipping, “Participation trophies now come with diplomas!”
Trump, on Truth Social, blasted the policy, saying, “Chicago’s handing out degrees like candy—sad!”
The right argues the inflated rates mask a “dumbing down” of education, with CPS admitting 30% of graduates can’t read at grade level.
Liberals hailed the stats as “progressive success,” ignoring the empty classrooms.
As of press time, Johnson was reportedly planning a “Graduate From Your Couch” initiative to boost rates to 100% by 2026.
The picture of the graduated school of the school very much resembles my graduation happy time I am a high school graduation from Thomas Jefferson high school in June 19th,1996 I also graduated from high school in June 19th,1996, I am also a two year college from Highline Community College in March 11th,2011 I recieved a Associate Art Degree, and I am currently unemployed I was once working as Nursing Assistant Certified, and I am currently unemployed as well. I am a Nursing Assistant Certified, and my current position as Nursing Assistant requires me to pass the certification exam which I past with lot of experience and good experience and a good understanding and good 👍 of a good support team of my team and community members in this space area, we will definitely support each other experiences. I do have one question – how can you expect anyone to understand what you may be trying to say?
If the article is correct, and most likely it is, then it shows that the teachers and school officials are dumber than the kids they supposed to be teaching, and that would be no surprise.
This is sad. Because they will never reach for anything higher than a C level in life. Education is about removing the individuals identity. Clump them all into a matrix of stupidity and ignorance!
There are students who suffer today because they were not taught how to write incursive . And as the governments stats reveal . At least 90% can’t read upon graduation . And math levels are as bad . But the study of English and History is at zero levels.
The people do not vote for these ridiculous things . And the dumbing down of America through education is getting worse. I say get rid of the education department And put it back into the hands of local and states .
Even the higher levels of education teach only protesting , sex (anything to do with this ) Abortions and protecting terrorists. It’s a continuation of the dumbing down from the lower levels. To the day they hit the streets.
