New York City residents surveyed their streets a full week after the storm only to discover the snow had achieved permanent residency, evolving from weather event into official city infrastructure, sources have confirmed
City Hall announced that traditional plowing had been replaced with “collective responsibility,” which Mayor Zohran Mamdani described as “socialism in action, but wetter, icier, and with absolutely no refunds.”
Standing beside a mountain of filthy snow now classified as a “historic landmark,” Mamdani blamed capitalism, gravity, climate change, and “anyone who owns a car bigger than a Prius.”
“Socialists share,” he explained while being chauffeured over a sidewalk glacier. “So I’m sharing the responsibility with all of you.”
Meanwhile, actor Michael Rapaport was spotted marching through the slush livestreaming his rage, shouting that NYC was a “dirty snow-covered dump” while somehow missing the irony that he had voted for the similar policies now slipping under his boots.
Instead of clearing streets, the city deployed “Gentle Affirmations Units” to hand out emotional-support shovels and pamphlets titled Have You Tried Mindfulness on Ice?
As of press time New Yorkers were still being instructed to practice gratitude while learning to ice skate to work
