In a bold critique that has crossed both the Atlantic and the bounds of conventional diplomacy, Senator John Kennedy, R-La., has lambasted U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s proposal to relinquish a strategic military base in the Indian Ocean, sources have confirmed.
Kennedy’s colorful advice to the British leader was to “put down the bong,” suggesting that such a decision could only be made under the influence.
“Look, I’m all for peace and love, but letting go of a military base isn’t Woodstock—it’s just foolish,” Kennedy quipped during a televised interview. The Louisiana senator, known for his folksy metaphors and sharp wit, argued that the move would jeopardize not only regional stability but also “the sanity of anyone with a map.”
Starmer’s office has yet to formally respond to the comments, but insiders report a mixture of amusement and bewilderment at the American senator’s unorthodox diplomacy. Meanwhile, pro-cannabis advocates in the U.K. have somewhat embraced Kennedy’s remarks, playfully inviting him to discuss drug policy reform over tea—“and maybe something a bit stronger.”
As of press time, British diplomats were seen hurriedly Googling Louisiana slang to craft a culturally resonant comeback.
I doubt there are many British people who can understand Labour’s giving away a military base, unless it’s the usual mixture of indifference & contempt they have for their own country.
The UK is lost! It has turned, literally, into a sh*thole country, regretfully. Thank you all the brainless zombies that have contributed to the decline of a once interesting (hasn’t been great for a long time!) country.
Do not let go the iland under no certain condions.I’t stupid! Person would say that.Too valueable.Dumbass!
U.K’s. labour — America’s democrats same dumb schiff’s.
Yep you are so right about that
UK is the new France??
The lackluster British have always been questionable allies. Since they do not allow citizen ownership of firearms when crises arrive, they have no arms with which to fight the invader off & must be supplied by the US. (WW! & WW2). Of course they were stellar in comparison to continental Europe. They have a penchant for electing timid rulers (see Chamberlain) who never recognize dangerous decisions until it’s too late. They have allowed their country to become overrun with muzzies who do not have the best interests of the Uk in mind. We were on the same path until November 5. For the last 37 years (with the exception of 2016-2020) we have allowed our country to be led by gutless republicans & America hating democrats. It may be too late for the UK, but the red blooded among you (if any exist) should at least stand up give freedom a try.
