As former President Donald J. Trump’s hush money trial carries on, many have speculated that the courtroom sketch artist is growing bored after he snuck a dragon into one of his pictures this week, sources have confirmed.
“Oh man, maybe that guy needs a day off or something,” said Susan Necheles, Trump’s defense attorney, after looking at the drawing in question, which portrayed a giant red dragon just sort of hanging out in the benches reserved for spectators of the trial. “Because I spent all day in those chambers today and rest assured, there was no dragon anywhere in the courtroom. Not today, not yesterday. Don’t believe the fake drawings you’re seeing in the media.”
The courtroom artist confirmed that he’d snuck the dragon in after growing bored earlier this week.
“What can I say,” asked Lou Parker, the local courtroom sketch artist assigned to the Trump trial. “I can only sketch people talking and scowling so many times before it grows incredibly boring. I slip into old habits once in a while and draw a big ass dragon, just to keep me interested. I like to take something boring that is droning on and on like this and make it a little more digestible. Dragons are a great way to do that.”
As of press time, representatives of Stormy Daniels had threatened a lawsuit against Parker after his artistic rendering of her as Slave Leia from Return of the Jedi earlier this week.
