New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani reassured reporters this week that the nearly 200 housing violations discovered at his affordable housing showcase were not failures but features, sources have confirmed.
After inspectors documented broken doors, mold, and persistent rodent activity, city officials clarified that the conditions represent “organic expressions of collective living.”
Mamdani allegedly told tenants the roaches “only come out at night” and insisted the rats are “very intelligent, very community-minded rats.”
“These aren’t violations,” one aide reportedly explained. “They’re more like guidelines. Suggestions. Vibes, really.”
Mamdani also defended the building’s condition by reminding critics that expectations must be managed.
“I promised affordable housing,” he allegedly said.
“I didn’t promise livable housing. Let’s not be unrealistic.”
Tenants were further reassured that exposure to rodents builds resilience and prepares residents for future government housing initiatives.

Later that day, visitors to the mayor’s mansion reportedly noticed multiple pest control trucks leaving the premises.

Mamdani and his supporters are due to and only possible due to a totally failed education. Too many teachers openly admit they are socialists (Marxists) in surveys. So they will teach and promote Marxism in their classes opposite of the founding of the US. The founders left Europe to escape dictatorships and find freedom from tyranny. US fought two world wars to what, preserve freedom.

I am having a difficult time understanding that there are people stupid enough to make the statements these elected officials allegedly made. But, then this is NYC and these people are Communists, however, a sound bite or two would be helpful.
The thing that is truly amazing is the fact that rats were the cause of an epidemic that came close to eliminating the human species in parts of the civilized world at one time and sporadic lesser recurrences throughout hundreds of years of world history and these stupid SOBs think rats are just a minor inconvenience.
One can only hope that someone in NYC remembers what a RECALL is an gets the ball rolling quickly while there is still something to save.. Although, I did watch Escape from NY recently. Might be a way to kill two birds with one stone.
