After leaving office, the former president and Musk have traded barbs on X, with Trump slamming “Elon’s woke pivot” and Musk jabbing Trump’s “gas-guzzling obsession.”
The Tesla bonfire, livestreamed to MAGA fans, saw Trump bellow, “This is for fossil fuels, not your Mars dreams!”
Right-wing X users hailed the blaze as a “patriot pyre” against “EV elitism,” while Musk trolled back, “Enjoy the smoke, Don.”
DOGE vowed to probe the Tesla’s “suspiciously flammable” battery, hinting at “Soros sabotage.”
Dems decried the stunt as “billionaire beef gone berserk.”
The fire spiked oil stocks and crashed Tesla shares.
