U.S. Representative and popular social media figure Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called an emergency hearing in Washington today after she thought of a really good sassy retort she wanted everyone to hear, sources confirm.
“Oh great, another emergency hearing,” said fellow U.S. Representative Greg Stanton, one of many who’ve reportedly grown tired of AOC’s grandstanding. “It’s bad enough we’re always debating budgets and bills and votes, but now we have to get together every time one of these ladies thinks of something catty they want to say? I wish they could just fight online and leave it at that. Why is this place becoming Twitter?”
Though many of AOC’s fellow politicians thought the hearing was unnecessary, many in her fanbase approved.
“Yassss, slay those bitches,” said this AOC superfan Katie Price, an adult that still talks like that. “The way she just ambushed everybody in that hearing today and played to the camera the whole time, that’s why we love her. She represents exactly what politics are all about; centering yourself in every narrative, no matter how superficial it may appear. Oh, and shaking your supporters down for money as often as possible.”
As of press time, AOC had dismissed the emergency hearing once she confirmed video of her speaking passionately had loaded to Instagram properly.
