HBO Max announced that President Joe Biden will play the role of The Crypt Keeper in a new reboot of its popular Tales From the Crypt anthology horror series, sources have confirmed.
“The original Crypt Keeper was iconic, everybody loved him,” said Robert Zemeckis, executive producer of the upcoming reboot. “We wanted to use an actor this time instead of a puppet, and once Donald Sutherland passed away, we only had one name on our list: Joe Biden.”
The wise-cracking, decrepit, and frightening character will be Biden’s acting debut.
“Thank you for the opportunity, boys and ghouls,” said Biden, appearing in character (we think.) “It is my personal honor to bring you the scariest and most twisted tales I can think of. I never figured myself for much of an actor, but the bigwigs at HBO Max say not having to put any makeup on me to portray The Crypt Keeper is going to be an enormous help to production costs, so they’re giving me a chance!”
As of press time, HBO revealed the title of the debut episode of the relaunched Tales From the Crypt would be titled “The Tale of the Afghanistan Withdrawal.’”
