CHICAGO — Former President Barack Obama unveiled another promotional video for his still-unfinished Presidential Center this week, assuring Americans the sprawling tribute to Barack Obama is “not about Barack Obama,” but rather about inspiring ordinary citizens to one day build enormous structures honoring themselves.
Standing before what witnesses described as “a tasteful concrete fragment of the Death Star with a donor plaque,” Obama explained that the center would serve as a gateway to the future, provided that future includes timed-entry tickets, gift-shop tote bags, and several exhibits explaining how humility works when performed at architectural scale.
To increase youth engagement, Obama enlisted Mark Hamill, who appeared in the video to remind young people that democracy is strongest when Luke Skywalker helps sell admission to a presidential vanity campus.
Hamill reportedly attempted several Star Wars jokes before nearby interns begged someone to use the Force to unplug both teleprompters.
“This isn’t a monument to my legacy,” Obama said beneath a massive rendering of his own name.
“It’s a monument to your potential to appreciate my legacy correctly.”
Chicago residents expressed relief that the project would soon provide the city with something it desperately needed: another unfinished progressive solution surrounded by security fencing.
At press time, Democratic officials announced the center’s opening ceremony would feature a dramatic reenactment of the Death Star trench run, except the rebels miss and accidentally approve another grant.
I wish Emperor Palpatine would zap both Obama and Mark Hamill with force lightning and fry them like an egg.

I’m with RedWolf. I had low expectations at the start, but Obama still managed to disappoint. I hope the unthinkable doesn’t happen, but if it does try to get it on camera for me because that would really be enjoyable to watch. I’m hoping to hear that he has an unfortunate encounter with a gang of muslim men and suffers a mischief. He deserves it.
