New York City officials announced Tuesday that socialism has officially entered its most advanced phase, wherein one man leaves an apartment and everyone else pays more, sources have confirmed”
Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, a self-described champion of the working class, heroically vacated his rent-stabilized Astoria apartment to relocate to Gracie Mansion, proving once and for all that the revolution travels light as long as someone else pays the moving costs.
The apartment he left behind immediately became 35 percent more expensive, a phenomenon experts describe as “working exactly as intended.”
Housing advocates explained that Mamdani’s $2,300 rent was a form of “preferential rent,” which in progressive economics means equality with a fast-pass.
Once the socialist benefiting from the policy exits the premises, market reality is allowed back in to clean up.
As listings vanished and rents spiked, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and several Florida politicians reportedly welcomed displaced New Yorkers with open arms, reminding them the doors still open and the water’s nice, mostly because nobody froze the rent on it.
Officials confirmed the invitation includes lower taxes, functional housing markets, and the radical concept of paying what things actually cost.
Mamdani supporters insisted his policies remain a success, noting they worked flawlessly for seven years while he lived there.
Critics countered that this is democratic socialism at peak efficiency: speeches for the masses, savings for the messenger.
As of press time, New York announced plans to fix affordability by raising rents again and blaming Florida.

All I can say is, I would have moved the minute they announced he won, my relatives who live in a socialism society, say; Welcome to not having ownership on homes, cars, etc it will be so expensive and the healthcare is a scream! They put you on a waiting list for MIR’S!!! Uncle waited 6 months and died after he fell and hit his head!!! Good luck New York!
I live in a country that once had a socialist government. We have free healthcare, pensions, free education up to university, cheap transport (as an older person I travel free on busses and get discounted rail fare) We have rent control and council houses and housing associations. There has never been an attempt to outlaw private property and many of our citizens are billionaires.
And the name of this country is…..?
Why should your uncle not wait in the queue like everyone else? what is special about him? Why should the wealthy be able to jump the queue?
Just to let you know that is America before 2008 nobody was waiting for MRI results Ben one month!
What you even talking about? Just try to survive in Russia, Venezuela and then tell us the real truth.
The level of stupidity in New York city astounds me.
Nothing Dems do anymore astounds me because they just keep doing stupid things over and over. Look at Virginia.
They are in a heep of trouble too. Just don’t bring your liberal crap to Arkansas.
I love Arkansas. I’m in Kansas, and my hope is to move to Arkansas soon. Cheers Dennis.
Public education at it’s finest~
Is the Dept of Education still a thing? I thought (hoped) it would be gone by now 🙁
Lord help this heap..oh nonsense we called formerly the United States of America
How long will it be before Mamdani is tarred and feathered and put on the rail out of town. New Yorkers must be the stupidest people – elect a “Socialist and Islamic jihadist” in one election.
