WASHINGTON, D.C. — Democrats erupted into what eyewitnesses described as a “synchronized tantrum” after Republicans proposed a bill to dock all congressional salaries during future government shutdowns, sources have confirmed.
Though the measure applies to both parties, the GOP largely shrugged, while Democrats collapsed like toddlers denied an iPad.
One senator reportedly curled into the fetal position on the Senate carpet, sobbing, “If we don’t get paid, how are we supposed to buy our voters their different IDs?”
Republicans again noted they too would lose paychecks under the proposal, but Democrats waved that off as irrelevant.
“Yes, but we actually deserve our salaries,” said one progressive lawmaker while watering his fake cactus.
“Republicans don’t even believe in recycling hashtags.”
Chuck Schumer blasted the bill as “economic terrorism,” claiming it was a plot to silence Democrats by cutting off their wine budgets.
According to witnesses, Schumer then stormed into the cloakroom, where he was overheard demanding hazard pay for “sitting too close to the Republican side .”
The irony, of course, is that Democrats themselves engineered the current shutdown”
As of press time, Democrats were drafting a counter-proposal to award themselves “Shutdown PTO” to recover from the stress of not working.

Isn’t one of the “perks” of a shutdown that the President can enact laws that are irreversible ? Like making the “lawmakers” the ones who lose their salaries during a shutdown – with no reimbursement or retroactive pay.
Democrats keep destroying themselves there party is over these people don’t listen to the people who pay their salaries the American people are fed up with democrats and the sick agendas that they want the taxpayers to eat more of their money. It’s time to cut government salaries all they do is waste our money and they laugh at all of us. Time to tell these corrupt politicians that they are finished wasting taxpayers money on illegals. Trump needs to hire hundreds of thousands more ICE AGENTS to remove all illegals faster and prosecute any politician that obstructs his EOs. Start arresting democrats getting in the way of what the people voted for. democrats you keep failing the American people you care more about illegals than the American people who pay your salaries.
