Seattle Seahawks’ Jaxon Smith-Njigba reportedly unleashed a few unprintable words at an NFL referee after a play, sources have confirmed.
Instead of reaching for a flag, whistle, or a stack of HR complaint forms, the ref just gave the receiver a death stare and went back to work — proving he’s got more grit than most blue-check Twitter users.
In a celebrated flashback of the 90s, the ref ignored the “bad words,” players kept playing football, and the stadium gave a standing ovation.
We are in a world where “woke” progressives have managed to convince us that words cause more damage than helmets colliding at 20 miles an hour, sticks and stones aren’t even thrown anymore — but a four-letter word will apparently break us beyond repair.
In an age where college students need “safe zones” stocked with coloring books and Teddy bears, it’s downright refreshing to see an official who can handle a little verbal shrapnel without demanding therapy dogs.
Some progressive fans say the NFL should fine Smith-Njigba.
Conservatives say those that want him fined should go watch knitting or something more their style.
One thing’s certain: if refs everywhere handled words like this, America might still have thicker skin — and fewer hashtags.
As of press time, players and referees alike were cheering the old-school approach, with some players heard after the game saying, “Finally, we can play some f***ing football.”
Let me see if I got this article straight, or did I misread it. We’re promoting profanity! Talking about the “old days” if we used profanity, first our coach would slap us followed by our Dad doing the same! Those were the old days. And that was true conservativism – foul language was forbidden. Finally, what are we teaching the kids? Using such language “liberally” is not a conservative point of view.
This was with the Atlanta Seahawks, no kids involved (except for liberal snowflakes the stands).
