PARIS — Officials in a Paris suburb this week announced the launch of “Unarmed Policing 2.0,” an innovative new approach to law enforcement that replaces traditional tools with what leaders describe as “presence, empathy, and extremely confident body language,” sources have confirmed.
The initiative, introduced by Mayor Bally Bagayoko, aims to “reimagine safety” by encouraging officers to treat crime as a “misunderstood expression of community energy.”
“We’re moving beyond outdated enforcement,” one official explained.
“The goal is not to stop crime, but to better understand why it’s happening while it continues.”
Under the new system, officers will reportedly be equipped with notebooks, herbal tea, and a “feelings-first response guide,” reminding them to ask suspects how the situation has impacted them emotionally.
Sources say training now includes eye contact workshops, active listening drills, and a new policy requiring officers to apologize for any tension their presence may create.
Early pilot results have already shown progress, with officials noting that while crime has not decreased, it has become “more openly expressed.”
Critics raised concerns about officer safety, which leaders dismissed as “a limiting mindset rooted in the past.”
Meanwhile, residents reported confusion after witnessing officers attempt to de-escalate situations by forming small discussion circles around active incidents.
“We believe criminals will eventually align with the tone,” one advisor said.
“It’s about modeling the right energy.”
As of press time, the city was reportedly rolling out Phase Two, encouraging officers to ask criminals if they’d prefer to turn themselves in or just talk it out over coffee.

That country keeps getting worse. Disarming will make criminals kinder and gentler? ‘Oh please, sir, don’t set off that 💣.’ What ¡d¡ots made that decision?
it’s a satire, obviously.
I’m sure all the Islamists are thrilled with this new approach. I’m equally as sure that the victims are not thrilled with this new approach.
I expect San Fruitsisco, Sh*tc*go, and New York Sh**ty will adopt this same policy very soon. It sounds exactly like what some liberal idiot would think of.
France already has “no go zones”, Im sure this won’t affect the places the the French already won’t go to.
Pardon the lack of proofread and editing.
This will not turn out well.
This is insane as all woke people are. They care nothing for their officers or citizens. Criminals do not want to discuss their feelings. They want to get away with crime. Period!!!!
This is a joke, right? I thought I’d accidentally switched over to the Babylon Bee.
They forgot to issue them white flags and knee pads.
and lip gloss
This is gold! “misunderstood expression of community energy.” (There is crime because it is a “bad” neighborhood). “We’re moving beyond outdated enforcement,” (we cannot enforce by traditional means so we’ll offer encouragement). “The goal is not to stop crime, but to better understand why it’s happening while it continues.” (shit happens so get used to it)
I suggest they wear body cams so recruits can see what kind of situation they will be walking into. It will also make good YouTube viewing.
Th
The police officers should inform all of the criminals of where the top city officials live and advise the criminals that they can get more value from their crimes in those areas. Leave the lower class people alone and move on up to those that are raping the citizens of their tax dollars. The politicians could then use their methods on the criminals and get a first hand experience of the results.
Well, that’s France for you. Now you know why France has been conquered by Germany Twice. All we need now is for some woke, anti-America liberal to propose this in the U.S.
OMG….PLEASE tell me this is a joke or satire…..! These WOKE people have absolutely lost their minds…..!
Oui Oui madam, let’s sit down and have some Herbel Tea and talk about your feelings.. oh no mam you’re not under arrest. I don’t even have handcuffs much less the right to arrest you. We would just love to get your feelings down on paper, so we can better understand why you do this.
